Donas P. Gilbert

Donas P. Gilbert, age 63, of Miamisburg, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 13, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio.

Donas loved fishing and spending time outdoors. He possessed a patient heart, a clever mind, and a unique funny sense of humor. He was willing to find creative ways to “fix” things for others, with a helping hand. He especially loved spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by his father Richard Gilbert, his brothers Darryl Lee, Calvin Lee and Ira David Gilbert, his maternal grandparents James Ira & Lydia Davis, seven uncles and by one aunt.

He is survived by his loving mother Blanche (Davis) Corsaw, 2 brothers Rev. Richard A. “Alvin” Gilbert and wife Patty, and Dwight Gilbert, nephews and nieces Randy Gilbert, Lena Ingram, David Paul Gilbert, Crystin Gilbert, Brent Gilbert, Julie Fields, and James Gilbert, as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton, with Rev. Richard A. “Alvin” Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Friday at the funeral home.
